The WEIGHbridge needs to be positioned either after the Workroom Deerhandler or on the end of a race and preferably exiting to an outside wall so that deer entering the WEIGHbridge believe they are escaping.

In practice - deer to be weighed are separated from the mob in the holding pen one at a time - in their effort to escape they proceed towards the exit doors and onto the WEIGHbridge.

From up to eight metres away (say at the holding pen) the operator can punch in the tag number and activate the scales weighing cycle which accurately calculates the weight even though the animal may not be standing still.

The operator then activates the appropriate exit door.

The whole process is repeated.
